Through our conviction of presenting "people to art", our long-term goal is to maintain a commitment to our community and make The City of Barrie the canvas of an internationally recognized 'artscape'.

We are in partnership with the City of Barrie and support the Downtown Master Plan and the City Cultural Policy Plan where the arts play a significant role in revitalization, development and tourism.

There have been a lot of changes at the MacLaren. Our partnership with the City of Barrie and a membership of over 4000 strong, has proven to be a major step in reaching our goal of bringing People to Art, Art to People.
